Who organizes the PAL Program?
The program is organized by the board who are all community volunteers. The program is coordinated by Mrs. Melissa Teichroeb.

How are students referred to PAL?
Students can be referred to the PAL program by their teacher or their parents.

Who can be a tutor?
Anyone from the community: parents, grandparents, young adults, retirees... Anyone with time and a love of reading.

How much time does tutoring take?
30 minutes or more per week- you decide!
​
What training is required?
PAL will provide an orientation to the program and ongoing support.
How are tutors supported?
Tutors are supported by the coordinator, the board and fellow tutors. Check out our tutor resources page above!

Where does the tutoring take place?
At a school of your choice- OAP, Harry Gray or St. Stephen's.

How is PAL paid for?
PAL is paid for by volunteer fundraising. Our next Casino is booked for February 26 & 27, 2023.

PAL is supported by LOW IMPACT, Oscar Adolphson School, Harry Gray Elementary School, St. Stephen's School and volunteer fundraising.
